Dialing up growth for an internet service provider

Windstream—the largest rural internet provider in the country with customers in 18 states—had rebranded to Kinetic to highlight its premium internet service. The rebrand was driven by significant investments in network upgrades and the desire to showcase a more modern and technologically advanced brand.

This was not the old Windstream of landline phones and slow DSL internet. The provider had been investing millions in infrastructure for consumer broadband with growth being driven by continued expansion of faster speeds on an enhanced fiber network. Through numerous digital and traditional promotional campaigns like the ones below, Kinetic was able to grow their subscriptions 126 percent year-over-year.
